Aura The Label – I feel like it’s been a long time since my last post. I’m really dealing with COVID
Well, after two years of waiting, the Omicron sub has finally reached me. Fortunately, I am fully vaccinated and feeling much better, which is the only reason for my mild illness. I have a sore throat, cough and fatigue, but those are the only symptoms. I don’t even have a fever – I feel like I have the flu! All things considered, it could be worse. I took a few days off to focus on recovery, but after a few days, I was (mostly) back to normal and working at home.

My mood was so foggy that I couldn’t get things done, so I spent time in bed in front of the TV watching all the shows I wanted to watch but didn’t have time to watch. I’m watching

). I tried to read it too, but people with brain fog are so real. I opened the book and read two sentences, and by the third sentence I quickly forgot what I had read. I felt like I was reading the same passage four times because I had no idea what he was talking about.
Anyway, I took a photo of the reel on Instagram. I’m trying to get better at posting things, so I wrote down a few ideas I had. Speaking of writing, I also journal, but when I reread it when I’m good, I struggle to think of what I wanted to say 😂 Oh, and that’s fun too. One day when we talked about epidemics in a historical context.
Plus, I slept a TON. I coughed so much I was on the Dayquil/Nyquil train. Like I said, I don’t have a fever either, so I don’t need to start taking Tylenol or anything, but the cough syrup makes me sleepy and it’s probably best for my body to rest. I can’t sleep! I usually sleep an average of 5-6 hours a day, and I recently checked my Apple Watch and at the height of my illness I was sleeping 12 hours every night.
I’m fine! I’m sure the CDC says I can go out freely after 10-14 days, but I’m still wearing a mask. I recently went to the gym for the first time, although it was a tough workout. I’ve been building up my running endurance for a few years now, but I can’t run a mile from hacking and coughing so I’m home, so I’m still not 100%. I now rely on yoga for exercise because it’s more cardio and not cardio. Otherwise, I’m good! My husband and I went for a walk with the dog and had a great time. Our alone time actually helped strengthen our relationship!
